Principal, The Oaks Academy
The faculty and staff of The Oaks Academy are proud to serve students in grades 6-12. Each day, we look forward to learning with and from our students. In addition to providing a safe, engaging learning environment, all of us are committed to helping students see how what they are learning can impact their future education and life goals. We place a strong emphasis on durable skills that are featured in the North Carolina Portrait of a Graduate: adaptability, collaboration, communication, critical thinking, empathy, learner's mindset, and personal responsibility. To help students apply those skills, the high schoolers have access to the courses in Cherokee County Schools Career Academy, and students are encouraged to explore opportunities for additional education after they earn their high school diplomas. We highly value the partnership of families and community stakeholders in ensuring the success of the students of The Oaks Academy.
